Pramono Plays Rebana at Opening of Jakarta Ramadan Festival 2026

The Jakarta Regional Government officially launched a series of grand events called the Jakarta Ramadan Festival 2026.

The kickoff of the event was centred on the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia area with a colossal Ramadan Rebana attraction.

The echoes of Islamic hymns and percussion instrument sounds from 1,300 rebana players resonated along the pavements on Friday (27 February) afternoon.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that the initiative of gathering thousands of rebana players in the heart of the capital aimed to present collective joy without diminishing the value of worship.

With this festival, the capital is expected to become an attractive religious and cultural tourism destination for tourists.
