Pramono Plans to Invite President Prabowo to Inaugurate the New Face of Rasuna Said Road in South Jakarta

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung plans to invite President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate the redevelopment of Jalan Rasuna Said in Kuningan, South Jakarta, in June 2026. The demolition of the monorail pillars has now been completed. “In the first year, I have completed what Pak Sutiyoso started; the monorail on Rasuna Said has now been neatly dismantled,” Pramono stated during his speech at the inauguration of the West Kalimantan Family Association board in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (3/5/2026). Pramono aims to complete the programmes of previous Jakarta governors that remain unfinished. In addition to the monorail pillar demolition, he has also resolved the land issues for the construction of Sumber Waras Hospital. This allows the plan by former Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) to build an international hospital to be realised. Furthermore, infrastructure issues at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) have been addressed. According to Pramono, the construction of the KRL station in the JIS area will be completed this May. With this, the infrastructure problems that have long hindered access to JIS can be resolved. “What about Pak Anies? JIS. If JIS does not have good transportation and is not connected to Ancol, it will remain a problem,” Pramono explained. Previously, Pramono confirmed that all 109 abandoned monorail pillars on Jalan HR Rasuna Said in South Jakarta had been neatly arranged by February 2026. Following that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government began redeveloping the area.
