Pramono Orders Transportation Agency to Ease Gridlock After Truck Strikes Tendean Footbridge

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has instructed the Transportation Agency (Dishub) and other regional apparatus organisations (OPD) to restore traffic flow following an incident where a truck carrying heavy equipment became stuck under a pedestrian bridge (JPO) on Jalan Kapten Tendean, South Jakarta. Pramono stated that the incident, which caused severe traffic congestion, was the result of the driver’s negligence regarding the vehicle’s height. The heavy equipment truck struck the bridge structure, causing significant damage. The police are currently investigating the chronology and the exact cause of the out-of-control traffic accident.
