Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung has assured that the regulation of posters for the film Aku Harus Mati, which had drawn public attention, has been carried out. He emphasised that the step was taken after receiving reports and coordinating across agencies on the ground.

“The first matter concerns the Aku Harus Mati film poster; I have received reports from the deputy special staff coordinator and also from the Head of the Communication, Informatics, and Public Relations Department. On the ground, we have coordinated with KPI DKI Jakarta and Satpol PP, including the advertising bureau; that billboard has been taken down,” Pramono stated in Central Jakarta on Monday (6/4).

He stressed that the presence of promotional material deemed sensitive in public spaces must not be allowed to recur. The government, he said, has a responsibility to keep the urban space visually and psychologically safe for the public.

According to Pramono, the practice of installing advertisements that rely on sensational elements to attract public attention actually risks causing negative impacts. Especially if the content does not consider aspects of ethics and propriety.

“The principle is that this must not happen again. Things like this, just to attract the public by installing sensitive advertisements that impact society, must not recur,” he asserted.

For information, the three points that have been regulated are located on Jalan Puri Kembangan and Jalan Daan Mogot Km 11 (Gantung Bridge), West Jakarta, as well as the area of the Harmoni Intersection Police Post, Central Jakarta.
