Pramono Offers Rp7.8 Trillion Kelapa Gading-JIS LRT Project to Investors

The Jakarta Provincial Government has officially offered the Jakarta LRT development project to potential investors. The corridor on offer is the Jakarta LRT Phase 2A (Kelapa Gading - JIS), spanning 8.2 km.

According to the invest.jakarta.go.id website, the Jakarta LRT Phase 2A (Kelapa Gading - JIS) will connect with the existing Jakarta LRT route covering Kelapa Gading-Velodrome-Manggarai. This 8.2 km project will pass through six stations: Kelapa Nias, Boulevard Gading, Sunter Timur, Gelanggang Remaja, Sunter Barat, and Danau Sunter Barat (Jakarta International Stadium).

Ticket prices are estimated to range between Rp10,000 and Rp15,000 per trip, with average passenger numbers expected to reach 67,256. The project requires an investment valued at Rp7.8 trillion, featuring an investment rate of return of 12.3%, a weighted average cost of capital of 12%, and a payback period of 15 years.

The target market for the Kelapa Gading-JIS LRT project consists of 41% tourism and 35% business purposes. The project is targeted to commence in 2027.
