Pramono Launches Logo for Jakarta's Five Centuries, Peak Celebration Scheduled for 22 June 2027

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has officially launched the commemorative logo for Jakarta’s five-century anniversary. The logo will serve as the official identity for the series of celebrations marking Jakarta’s 500 years, which will culminate in 2027.

Governor Pramono Anung stated that the logo was selected through a competitive process from numerous submissions. “From the 10 entries that participated in the competition, it was narrowed down to five finalists, and ultimately one was chosen,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

Pramono explained that the logo will be promoted immediately by all regional organisational units (OPD), state-owned enterprises (BUMD), and officials throughout the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. “I have also directly requested all OPD, then BUMD, and all officials within the DKI Jakarta Government to help promote this logo,” he stated.

He emphasised that the five-century logo will not replace any existing Jakarta identities or slogans. The logo will be used exclusively to mark the 500-year anniversary. “This is not like the past when things were changed. This is simply a special logo to welcome Jakarta’s five centuries,” he explained.

The peak of the five-century celebration is scheduled to take place on 22 June 2027. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to prepare various activities to mark this historic milestone. “The logo does not change what already exists in Jakarta. This is a logo welcoming five centuries, and five centuries happens only once. The peak of the five-century celebration is on 22 June 2027,” he added.
