Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the construction of the LRT Jakarta route from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai is nearly complete, with overall readiness reaching 98%. The primary outstanding work involves the completion of the signalling system at several points, which is scheduled to be finished by 20 August. Pramono confirmed that all 11 stations along the 12.2-kilometre route have been inspected and are ready for operation. The project has required an investment of IDR 12.1 trillion. Pramono expressed his hope that the line can be officially inaugurated and begin operations in August 2026, noting that coordination for the launch is already underway. The extended line is projected to become a backbone of the capital’s public transport network, with initial daily ridership estimated at 60,000 passengers, potentially rising to a normal capacity of 80,000.
