Pramono Invites Prabowo to Inaugurate Pole-Free Rasuna Said Monorail in June Next Year

Pramono expressed this during his attendance at the inauguration of the West Kalimantan Family Association (IKKB) board in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (3/5/2026). Pramono initially highlighted the issue of leaders’ egos in Indonesia.

“One of the weaknesses of this nation is the oversized ego of its leaders. Once they become leaders, they do not want to continue what is unfinished from previous leaders. This must be resolved,” Pramono said in his speech.

“So if you look at what I have done in the first year, I have completed what Pak Sutiyoso left behind; the monorail on Rasuna Said has now been neatly trimmed. On 22 June, I will invite the President, hopefully he will be willing to inaugurate it,” he continued.

Pramono then addressed the issue of Sumber Waras Hospital, which arose during the leadership era of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok). He stated that he will turn RS Sumber Waras into an international hospital.

“Likewise with Sumber Waras Hospital, this is a legacy from Pak Ahok that was not completed. Alhamdulillah, the land issue has now been resolved. We will build it into an international hospital so that what Pak Ahok envisioned can be realised,” he said.

Pramono also mentioned that he is resolving matters related to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), which was built during Anies Baswedan’s leadership. Pramono said he is building the Ancol-JIS bridge and a KRL station at JIS.

“What about Pak Anies? JIS. If JIS does not have good transportation and is not connected to Ancol, it will remain a problem. So I am building the connection, and the one connecting it is Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), which built the 350-metre bridge,” he said.

“Alhamdulillah, I received support from the Ministry of Transportation; under JIS, we have completed building the KRL station this month, so people from anywhere can easily reach JIS,” he added.
