Pramono inspects licensing services at Public Service Mall
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, personally inspected the quality of licensing services, particularly regarding investment, at the Public Service Mall in Karet Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday.
“I intentionally visited the One-Stop Service today because I want to see this, as it is the spearhead of the Jakarta Provincial Government regarding matters related to investment,” said Pramono after inspecting the Public Service Mall in Jakarta on Friday.
Pramono noted that there are 1ng agencies integrated within the Public Service Mall, ensuring that both the public and business actors do not need to travel to multiple locations to obtain services.
As of the first semester of 2026, Jakarta’s realised investment reached Rp173.6 trillion, consisting of Rp106.5 trillion in Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) and Rp67.1 trillion in Foreign Direct Investment (PMA). This achievement in investment realisation is the highest in Indonesia.
According to Pramono, this integration and one-stop integrated service have successfully built trust among the public and the business community towards the Jakarta Provincial Government.
Nevertheless, Pramono requested his staff to continuously improve services, including the acceleration of the issuance process for driving licences (SIM), vehicle registration (STNK), and passport printing.
“Currently, regarding driving licences, the printing is done externally, resulting in a 3 to 4-day wait; however, the permit and processing itself, based on my inquiries earlier, actually takes only about 5 to 10 minutes to complete,” he said.
Additionally, Pramono also highlighted the need for synchronising licensing within the Online Single Submission (OSS) system between the central and regional governments. He cited examples such as the licensing process for restaurants or boarding houses, which still requires approval from local residents.
