Pramono Inspects Condition of Collapsed SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09

Jakarta (ANTARA) - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo personally inspected the condition of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi, which collapsed two years ago in 2024.

“This building was last renovated in 2011. Looking at the framework earlier, you can easily see that some parts remain intact while others have rusted, which then caused the damage,” said Pramono after inspecting the school on Friday.

Pramono explained that, following a meeting with officials on Thursday afternoon (23/7), the Jakarta government decided to rebuild the school immediately.

Besides SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi, three other schools have been prioritised for reconstruction this year. The four schools were selected because their conditions were deemed extremely concerning.

The four schools are SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi with a budget of Rp48.1 billion, SMA Negeri 102 Jakarta with Rp67.5 billion, SD Negeri Cempaka Putih Barat 03 with Rp48.4 billion, and SD Negeri Papanggo 01 and TKN Papanggo 01 with Rp74.1 billion.

“So the total budget is roughly Rp249 billion. We will begin construction on these four schools,” he said.

While awaiting completion of the new school, pupils will continue the teaching and learning process at SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11.
