Pramono insists PTSP services in DKI must be free from illegal levies
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has emphasised that the One-Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) in the capital must be free from illegal levies (pungli). According to Pramono, all services are provided entirely free of charge, without any fees whatsoever. Therefore, he does not want services to appear free only during his inspections, but for citizens to still be asked to pay in reality. “I asked if there are any levies, no? Now everything is given for free. I said, do not let it be free only in front of the governor but charged behind the scenes, that is not allowed. Because if it’s free, it must truly be provided for free,” Pramono stressed during his inspection of the PTSP at the Senen Sub-District Office in Central Jakarta on Monday. During the visit, Pramono also inaugurated four renovated sub-district offices, namely the Senen Sub-District Office on Jalan Pasar Senen Dalam VI; the Tanah Tinggi Sub-District Office; the Semper Barat Sub-District Office; and the Sunter Jaya Sub-District Office. In addition to services, Pramono highlighted the importance of transparency in government facility development. He requested that all development processes be conducted openly and auditable to avoid problems in the future. Looking ahead, Pramono hopes that sub-district office developments can provide more friendly, open services that make citizens feel comfortable. “May these facilities provide the greatest benefits in improving the quality of public services, to realise Jakarta as a global city, and at the same time as the national economic centre that is inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous for its residents,” said Pramono.
