JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung inaugurated Kebayoran Baru District Office in South Jakarta on Tuesday (19/5/2026). The new building immediately attracted attention because it features a modern design. In his speech, Pramono briefly touched on the impression of luxury from the district office building. ‘When you look at this District Office, to be honest people will say… luxury. Mr. Camat, look ahead. You suddenly have an office as nice as this, how do you maintain it? It would be a pity if it has been made good but cannot be maintained,’ Pramono said. Although the building looks good, Pramono stressed that the district office must remain close to the people. ‘I ask Mr. Camat and all ranks, even though this place is nice, it must still be the people’s home, open to the public,’ Pramono said. Pramono also emphasised that the government’s task is to provide services that are easy and fast for residents. He said Kebayoran Baru district is one of the important areas in South Jakarta, so public services must be truly optimal. ‘There were those who didn’t agree before, but now it’s good and has become one of Jakarta’s icons,’ he said. Pramono explained that the construction of this district office was the result of cooperation between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the obligation of social facilities and public facilities (fasos-fasum) from developer PT Danayasa Arthatama. ‘The common problem is not building, but maintaining it. So I ask that it be kept well,’ he stressed. With this new office, the Jakarta Provincial Government hopes public services for Kebayoran Baru residents can be faster, more comfortable, and easier to access.
