Pramono inaugurates Heritage Flag Park
Jakarta — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo officially inaugurated Heritage Flag Park in South Jakarta, which represents a consolidation of Ayodya Park, Langsat Park, and Leuser Park.
“The presence of Heritage Flag Park forms part of Jakarta’s provincial government’s commitment to expand modern, inclusive, and family-friendly public green spaces,” Pramono said when met at Heritage Flag Park on Saturday.
The park inauguration was also attended by Indonesia’s fifth president, Megawati Soekarnoputri.
In his remarks before Megawati, Pramono reported that under his leadership alongside Rano Karno, new parks will be built across the capital. Pramono also indicated his willingness to permit third parties to assist in developing public facilities in Jakarta, with the option to name such facilities after their benefactors.
He explained that the primary objective of consolidating the three parks is to create expanded green space and tourist attractions in Jakarta. The merger also aims to provide Jakarta residents with opportunities for sports and recreation activities.
“Praise be to God, Heritage Flag Park can now be utilised by the community and features tennis courts, multipurpose fields, and padel courts,” Pramono said.
