Pramono Inaugurates Ancol-JIS Link Bridge as Jakarta's Birthday Gift

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated a bridge linking Ancol and Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta. Pramono said the inauguration served as one of the gifts for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. “First of all, on behalf of the DKI Jakarta Government, I would like to express my gratitude for the 499th anniversary gift, namely the activation of JIS and Ancol, including this KRL station and also the bridge we have jointly named with BTN,” Pramono said during the inauguration of the integrated infrastructure for the JIS-Ancol area at JIS Station, North Jakarta, on Monday (22/6/2026). Pramono stated that the integrated infrastructure development represents collaboration between the central government and the Jakarta provincial government. He expressed hope that the inauguration of the bridge and the JIS KRL station would help solve congestion and parking issues in the JIS area. “This demonstrates good collaborative cooperation between the central government, in this case the Ministry of Transportation, and the DKI Jakarta Government, as well as with Ancol, Jakpro, and BTN. This is what has been realised and is visible today,” he said. Meanwhile, Ancol President Director Syahmudrian Lubis said the current Ancol area tariff is still charged per car. However, during the anniversary celebrations on 22, 27, and 28 June, entry to Ancol is free of charge. “For the Ancol tariff, currently we still apply a flat rate per car. But for certain occasions, we will implement a special rate, such as today, we waive fees for all visitors coming to Ancol, and likewise on the 27th and 28th,” he said. “I am very grateful to the Governor for providing us with direction as part of Ancol’s birthday gift to Jakarta,” he added. Syahmudrian explained that discussions are ongoing regarding future parking tariffs for JIS visitors. He said there will be a special zone where only parking charges apply for JIS visitors. “Regarding the tariff, we are currently conducting a review for parts of Ancol where we might not charge people. There will be a special zone where only parking fees are applied, while entry to the rides area will still follow the existing system,” he explained. He further clarified that there will be two separate gates to differentiate between Ancol and JIS visitor parking, though the plan is still being finalised. “Later there will be two gates, a paid gate for direct entry to the rides, and another gate where people are not charged entry but only parking. We are reviewing this, and hopefully soon we can address the interests of Jakmania. That is roughly the plan,” he added.
