Pramono hopes flat construction can address housing needs of young couples
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo hopes the construction of flats in the capital can address the housing needs of young couples. “I hope that the construction of these flats will also be able to answer the anxieties, especially for young couples wanting to own a home in Jakarta,” Pramono said in West Jakarta on Thursday. The Jakarta Provincial Government plans to build eleven flats. In the near future, Pramono mentioned that two priority flats will be built, namely in the Marunda Cluster C flat area and in the Rorotan IX area, North Jakarta. “In our regional budget, the construction of eleven new flats owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government is planned. Of the eleven, two will be built in the near future, namely Marunda Cluster C from the existing five towers, and also Rorotan IX from the seven planned towers,” Pramono explained. Pramono stated that the capacity of these flats will be the same as other flats in the capital. The construction of flats in these two locations will also use the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget. Furthermore, in addition to through the regional budget, the Jakarta Provincial Government is also building flats through a cooperation scheme with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas via the 3 Million Homes Programme. “Marunda and Rorotan are the priorities, but we are also cooperating with the central government, in this case the Ministry of Housing, namely the 3 Million Homes Programme. Later there will be nine more flats built jointly between the central government and the Jakarta Provincial Government,” Pramono clarified.
