Pramono Holds Town Hall Meeting, Reminds PPSU of Follow-Up on JAKI Reports with AI Photos
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that his office will soon hold a “town hall meeting” with all Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officers (PPSU). The meeting follows the falsification of evidence for following up on public complaints using fabricated and AI-generated photos on the JAKI application.
Pramono revealed that the meeting will take place next week at City Hall.
“Next week, I will request all PPSU and those related to JAKI to hold a town hall here. I will convey and give a warning to anyone who does that; we will not forgive them. We will dismiss them immediately,” said Pram, his familiar nickname, when met at City Hall on Thursday (9/4/2026).
According to Pramono, the incident of falsifying evidence for public complaints using artificial intelligence (AI) photos on the JAKI application in Kalisari, East Jakarta, is not the first and was even carried out by the same rogue elements.
Therefore, he immediately took firm action, starting from dismissing the village head to the section chiefs (kasi) who were negligent in supervision.
“We have identified the PPSU, we have dismissed the village head including the section chiefs. This is the face of Jakarta. Public trust is paramount,” explained Pramono.
Besides Kalisari, Pramono stressed that a similar incident in South Jakarta involving report manipulation with “time lapse” is also being addressed.
Pramono also assured that the incident has not reduced citizen reports to JAKI. According to him, the complaint dashboard is monitored daily and the number of public participation remains stable.
Nevertheless, the manipulation case is still considered a serious violation that damages the credibility of public services.
“Basically, everyone who does that, whether in South Jakarta, Kalisari, or anywhere, there is no compromise,” he said.
