Pramono Highlights a Shift in National Challenges
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo highlighted a shift in the nation’s challenges, which previously focused on territorial issues but now lie in information sovereignty and digital transformation. ‘Entering 2026, the nation’s challenges have shifted from territorial sovereignty to information sovereignty and digital transformation. Therefore, this commemoration becomes a call for all elements of society to unite to create an ecosystem that supports the growth of Indonesia’s young talents,’ Pramono said at City Hall in Jakarta on Wednesday. In the National Awakening Day (Harkitnas) commemoration, which carries the theme ‘Guard the Seeds of the Nation for National Sovereignty,’ Pramono explained that protecting the younger generation in the digital space is an important government concern, including through the enforcement of Government Regulation on the Governance of the Administration of Electronic Systems in Child Protection, or PP Tunas. Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government fully supports the implementation of PP Tunas, so it is hoped this policy can reduce children’s dependence on gadgets. As a form of support for that regulation, Pramono also issued a Governor Regulation (Pergub) as a derivative of Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on the Governance of the Administration of Electronic Systems in Child Protection (PP Tunas). According to him, compared with other regions in Indonesia, children in Jakarta are relatively more digitally literate. Therefore, the derivative regulations from PP Tunas are deemed necessary. The drafting of Pergub as a derivative of PP Tunas is one form of support from the Jakarta Government for the regulation.
