JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that many important positions within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are currently filled by women.

Pramono mentioned, starting from the Head of the Water Resources Agency (SDA), Ika Agustin, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Atika Nur Rahmania, and the Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), Lusiana Herawati.

“As we know, the Organisational Devices of the Region (OPD) in Jakarta may be one of the provinces where almost half of the heads are women,” said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (7/5/2026).

Pramono assured that women in Jakarta have very wide opportunities to become leaders.

“I am providing the widest possible space for equality in Jakarta. Not just mere jargon, but its implementation is evident from almost, as I said earlier, half of the OPDs, more, in Jakarta are women. Even strategic positions related to the economy are almost all women,” said Pramono.

Furthermore, he stated that the role of women in the DKI Provincial Government is not limited to handling social issues or welfare.

“Even some very strategic heads, who are responsible for flooding, are women. Bappeda, Bapenda, and so on are women. Thus, issues about women in Jakarta are relatively almost never raised,” said Pramono.

In addition to at the official level, Pramono also highlighted the role of women in the community environment.

He mentioned the contributions of PKK cadres, Dasawisma, to Jumantik monitors in helping to reduce the number of slum RW in Jakarta.

Pramono said, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of slum RW in Jakarta has decreased from 445 to 211 RW.

“Even when our friends witnessed yesterday when the Head of the Central Statistics Agency announced that slum RW has decreased from 445 to 211. This achievement would not be possible without the great women in the field. Among them are PKK, Dasawisma, Jumantik, and so on in the field,” said Pramono.
