Pramono Gathers PPSU Officers and Sub-District Heads, Urges No Manipulation of JAKI Reports to Please Superiors

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung gathered Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officers (PPSU) along with sub-district heads, ward heads, and mayors in a large meeting (town hall meeting) at the Grand Theatre of Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

The meeting was held following a case where residents’ reports on illegal parking in Kalisari Ward, East Jakarta, were responded to with artificial intelligence (AI)-generated photos rather than actual on-site conditions.

Pramono stated that the incident tarnishes public services in Jakarta and must not happen again.

“Including the one in Kalisari, that truly tarnishes Jakarta’s image. And we, I as Governor, do not want it to happen again, so there is no room for it to be repeated,” Pramono said on Wednesday.

“I ask that we no longer just provide or please the leadership, but carry out real work in the field,” he added.

Pramono noted that the three PPSU officers involved have been sanctioned with Warning Letter 1 (SP1).

He has also met directly with them and issued a stern warning.

“I told them this is their last chance if they still want to work in DKI Jakarta,” he said.

The head of the relevant section up to the Kalisari Ward Head have been relieved of their duties.

To prevent similar incidents, the DKI Provincial Government will improve the system in the JAKI application.

In the future, only officers who actually handle the reports may upload proof of work.

“Those who may upload are those who actually do the work. We will improve the system to make it clearer and more transparent,” Pramono said.

“Input from residents is important for us to improve ourselves,” he added.
