Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has formed an investigation and inventory team to prevent cases of damaged school buildings, such as the one that occurred at SD Negeri Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, from happening again.

“The investigation and inventory team is to examine, as I saw easily just now, that the real problem is that the framework was not properly prepared at that time, back in 2011, and that is what I am asking not to be repeated,” Pramono said after inspecting SD Negeri Kebayoran Lama 09 on Friday afternoon.

He wants the team not to be filled by elements of the Education Department, but by related agencies such as the Cipta Karya, Tata Ruang, dan Pertanahan (Citata) Department and the Bina Marga Department. “Therefore, there must be a supervisor for that, and I request that the supervisor is not from the Education Department. The Education Department is the user. The supervisor should of course be from another relevant department,” he stated.

On that occasion, Pramono confirmed that the reconstruction of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, which collapsed two years ago, will begin this year. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated a budget of Rp48.1 billion to rebuild the school. He explained that the provincial government initially planned to construct 22 schools in 2026. However, due to cuts in the Revenue Sharing Fund, budget efficiency measures, and other factors, only seven schools were budgeted for. The provincial government then decided to add four more priority schools for immediate construction, including SDN Kebayoran Lama 09.

“Yesterday in a meeting, I decided that four should be built now. One of them is this place. Why must it be built now? Because the condition is already very concerning,” Pramono said. The other three prioritised schools are SMA Negeri 102 Jakarta with a budget of Rp67.5 billion, SDN Cempaka Putih Barat 03 worth Rp48.4 billion, and SDN Papanggo 01 along with TK Negeri Papanggo 01 with a budget of Rp74.1 billion. The total budget for the four projects reaches approximately Rp249 billion. “For these four, we will begin construction now. Tomorrow there will be another meeting to appoint the technical team, who will supervise, and so on. Because I do not want this development, which was not easy to secure, to then not be carried out seriously,” he said.
