Pramono Encourages DKI Provincial Government and OJK Synergy to Strengthen Regional Economy
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Financial Services Authority (OJK) plays a crucial role in supporting the acceleration of regional economic and financial development. This role includes encouraging investment, expanding access to financing, and strengthening the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Consequently, Pramono urged prospective OJK office heads to formulate policies aligned with regional development priorities.
This was conveyed by Pramono during a briefing for 45 Prospective OJK Office Heads (PCKO) Batch III of 2026 at an institutional visit event at City Hall on Wednesday (12/8). "As future leaders, I urge you to ensure that your policies are in line with the development priorities in DKI Jakarta and support the acceleration of regional economic and financial development," Pramono said.
Pramono expressed hope that collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and OJK can be continuously strengthened, particularly in improving financial literacy and inclusion, expanding financing access for MSMEs, encouraging digital transformation, and strengthening consumer protection and public trust in the financial services sector. "We hope the synergy that has been well-established between the DKI Provincial Government and OJK can be maintained. Hopefully, this momentum can prepare future leaders who bring goodness to OJK," he said.
He assessed that the institutional visit serves as a momentum to share experiences, strengthen communication, and build understanding of the regional government’s role in supporting sustainable economic and financial development. "I warmly welcome this institutional visit as a space for mutual sharing of experiences, strengthening communication, and building a deep understanding of the regional government’s role in supporting regional economic and financial development," Pramono stated.
During the briefing, the Governor also presented on regional governance, covering development planning, strengthening the regional financial ecosystem, and effective and sustainable digital public service transformation.
Head of the OJK Institute, Kristianto Puji Rahayu, explained that Jakarta was chosen as the location for the Institutional Visit because it has numerous programmes that can serve as references for regional economic development, including through the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD). "We chose DKI because DKI has many programmes that can be emulated for regional economic development and TPAKD. The participants gained insights from the Governor, both in terms of leadership and creative thinking to advance the region," Kristianto concluded.
Head of OJK Jabodebek, Edwin Nurhadi, explained that the PCKO Batch III 2026 participants totalled 45 people, consisting of 33 men and 12 women from both the OJK head office and regional offices. They are being prepared to become future OJK leaders in various regions across Indonesia.
