Pramono: E-Monev to Realise Transparent and Accountable Information Disclosure
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung believes that the launch of the 2026 Electronic Monitoring and Evaluation (E-Monev) application for Public Information Disclosure by the Jakarta Information Commission (KI) is a vital step towards making information disclosure easier, more effective, transparent, and accountable.
“With the E-Monev application, the monitoring and evaluation process is expected to become increasingly easy, effective, transparent, and accountable,” Pramono stated in a briefing in Jakarta on Monday.
He also called upon all public bodies to work together to improve the quality of public information disclosure, adding, “Let us realise a Jakarta that is open, trusted, and ready to go global.”
In line with this direction, the Chairman of the Jakarta Information Commission, Harry Ara Hutabarat, noted that the 2026 E-Monev for Public Information Disclosure features a specific focus on information regarding waste sorting and management movements.
“This will serve as a special thematic assessment observed through periodic information, immediate information, and digitalisation aspects,” said Harry.
According to him, this theme aligns with the policies of the Jakarta Provincial Government and is expected to encourage public bodies to provide information relevant to community needs while supporting the resolution of strategic issues in Jakarta.
He emphasised that E-Monev is not merely an annual assessment agenda, but also an instrument to drive continuous improvements in information disclosure.
“E-Monev is not just an annual activity, but serves as both a mirror and an instrument to see the extent to which public information disclosure is being implemented by public bodies,” Aang stated.
He delivered this message during the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for the 2026 E-Monev for Public Information Disclosure, held online in Jakarta on Monday.
The event was attended by 1,001 public bodies divided into 22 categories as part of the implementation series for E-Monev 2026.
During the technical guidance, experts from the Jakarta Information Commission provided technical instructions for completing the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), including procedures for submission and the provision of supporting evidence to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accountability.
