Jakarta – The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will continue the Jakarta LRT line to Dukuh Atas after it connects to Manggarai. The construction will be carried out after the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B (Velodrome–Manggarai) is completed.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said he had decided to continue the Jakarta LRT from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas. The decision was based on input from various parties, including consideration of Pemprov Jakarta’s fiscal capacity.

‘Tor the LRT that has been decided is an extension from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas, to complete one line from Velodrome to Dukuh Atas,’ he said at City Hall Jakarta, on Wednesday (20 May 2026).

With the addition of the line, the Jakarta LRT will have a track length of 14.2 kilometres with 12 stopping stations from Pegangsaan Dua (Kelapa Gading) to Dukuh Atas. It is estimated that the budget required to extend the LRT line from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas will reach Rp 2.7 trillion.

‘The length will finally be 12.2 plus 2 kilometres to become 14.2 kilometres. The stations will be 12. Then there will be an addition to the investment or budget of around Rp 2.7 trillion,’ Pramono said.

He revealed that the decision was taken so that the LRT trajectory from Velodrome to Dukuh Atas can be completed in full. After that trajectory is finished, the Pemprov Jakarta will develop the LRT line in the northern region.

In line with this, Pemprov Jakarta will handle the permit for the LRT trajectory up to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, and even to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta). The reason is that at present the LRT trajectory permit only extends to Ancol.
