Pramono Confirms Not All Transjabodetabek Fares Will Increase

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that his administration is still finalising fare adjustments for the Transjabodetabek bus service, but assured that not all routes will experience a price increase. “(The fare) will be finalised soon. For now, the tariff remains the same, and a decision will be made shortly,” Pramono told reporters at Jakarta City Hall on Friday (12/6/2026). He added, “But I want to clarify once again that not all Transjabodetabek fares will increase.”

Pramono noted that some fare adjustments would align with Transjakarta tariffs. He highlighted the high passenger demand on the Blok M-Soekarno Hatta Airport route, which has exceeded the initial target of 2,000 passengers per day. The route’s popularity is attributed to its affordable fare and dedicated lane, which allows for faster travel compared to other transport modes.

The Governor also expressed hope that buffer zone regions would prepare their own bus stops and welcomed any local government willing to contribute subsidies for the Transjabodetabek service. Pramono previously inaugurated the Blok M-Soekarno Hatta Airport route (SH2) on Thursday (12/3), setting an introductory fare of Rp 3,500 for a three-month trial period during the Idul Fitri season. He indicated that the fare would be evaluated after the trial due to the significant subsidy required.
