Pramono confirms no new odd-even traffic rule in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has confirmed that there are no new odd-even (gage) regulations at several toll gates in the capital. He stated that the current rules are based on Gubernatorial Regulation Number 88 of 2019, and recent public and media reports suggesting new rules are inaccurate. The clarification also covers the 28 on-ramp or off-ramp access points. The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya echoed this, explaining that the odd-even policy is an existing rule that applies where toll gates intersect with protocol roads. The regulation mandates odd-even restrictions on main roads such as Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan, Gajah Mada, and Hayam Wuruk. Authorities also corrected a public misunderstanding, clarifying that the restrictions do not apply inside the toll roads themselves, which fall under the jurisdiction of Jasa Marga. Regarding the specific list of 28 toll gate points, the public was advised to verify the details with the Jakarta Transportation Agency, as road zoning falls under local government authority. Enforcement in areas where toll gates meet these roads continues using electronic traffic law enforcement cameras.
