Pramono Comments on Jakarta Becoming Indonesia's Hottest City
Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, has responded to the release from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) which placed Jakarta as Indonesia’s hottest city in mid-March 2026. “The city may be hot, but hearts should remain cool,” said Pramono when met in the Pondok Rangon area, Cipayung Subdistrict, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/3). The man often called Pram stated that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has no plans to conduct weather engineering or artificial rain, even though extreme heat is sweeping the capital. “Jakarta still does not require artificial rain to be made,” Pramono said, quoting Antara.
