Jakarta — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has described the padel court at Taman Bendera Pusaka, located in the Blok M area of South Jakarta, as a premium-quality sports facility available free of charge to residents.

The court is one of the flagship facilities unveiled during the park’s official opening on Saturday, 14 March 2026. According to Pramono, residents can use the increasingly popular sports facility without paying any fees.

“This is perhaps the most premium free padel court,” Pramono stated during the park’s inauguration.

“I deliberately provided one free padel court, though registration is required,” he added.

Beyond the padel court, the park is equipped with a multifunctional court suitable for various sports including basketball, tennis, and badminton. For visitors seeking exercise without specialist equipment, a 1.2-kilometre jogging track is available for free public access.

“This gives Jakarta residents plenty of options for their chosen sport,” Pramono remarked.

The governor stressed that the park functions not merely as a sports venue but also as green space serving environmental management purposes, including rainwater catchment.

Currently, the park features 12 types of plants totalling 285 trees, several of which are rare species including Menteng, Ebony, Champaca, and Starfruit wood.

“In this way, green space in Jakarta is growing rapidly,” Pramono said.

Looking ahead, the Jakarta Provincial Government plans to inaugurate more than 23 additional green spaces across various districts in Jakarta.
