Pramono Bans DKI Officials From Using Official Cars for Mudik; Violations Will Be Sanctioned
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has prohibited officials within the Jakarta Provincial Government from using official vehicles for mudik ahead of Lebaran. He said anyone who breaches this rule will face severe sanctions. The ban applies to all officials in the DKI Jakarta administration, with Pramono stressing that official vehicles are not to be used for personal purposes, including trips home for Lebaran during the holiday period.
As context, the government, through a Joint Decree (SKB) by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of PANRB, numbers 1497 of 2025, 2 of 2025, and 5 of 2025, has set the 2026 public leave schedule, including Eid al-Fitr 1447 H / Lebaran 2026.
Lebaran public leave 2026:
• Friday, 20 March 2026: Lebaran public leave
• Monday, 23 March 2026: Lebaran public leave
• Tuesday, 24 March 2026: Lebaran public leave
Meanwhile, Eid al-Fitr as a national holiday falls on:
• Saturday, 21 March 2026: Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah
• Sunday, 22 March 2026: Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah
Accordingly, the public could enjoy Lebaran holidays for several consecutive days, especially for those who also have weekend breaks.
