Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has prohibited civil servants (ASN) within the DKI Provincial Government from using private vehicles when implementing the work from home (WFH) policy every Friday. If they must engage in activities outside, they are requested to use public transportation. “If they need to travel, they must use public transport,” Pramono explained at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday. Additionally, Pramono has firmly prohibited ASN from working from cafes or any other locations while carrying out WFH. Pramono emphasised that the implementation of WFH does not mean freedom to work from any location. Therefore, ASN are requested to continue working from home in accordance with the applicable provisions. Furthermore, Pramono has assured that there will be strict sanctions for ASN who violate these rules. However, he did not explain in detail what sanctions will be imposed on violating ASN. “Basically, sanctions; if previously they were guided, now they will be strictly enforced,” Pramono said. The WFH policy every Friday was previously established by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) as a follow-up to the central government’s directives. In its implementation, ASN are still required to conduct mobile attendance and remain under the supervision of the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD).
