JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is still awaiting official guidance from the central government regarding the planned work-from-home (WFH) policy of one day per week. “First, for work from everywhere or work from home, the DKI Jakarta Government will fully follow the central government’s directives. I do not want to preempt,” Pramono said at Halte Tosari, Central Jakarta, on Friday (27/3/2026). Pramono emphasised that for the DKI Provincial Government, the policy is neither a burden nor an obstacle. However, they are still waiting for the official regulation before implementing it. “Therefore, we are waiting to see if the ministerial regulation will be issued soon to regulate that,” he continued. “It will definitely be set this month,” said Airlangga after a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Istana Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (27/3/2026). Nevertheless, Airlangga has not revealed the exact implementation date for the policy. He only mentioned that the government still has a few days before the official announcement is made. The government is known to be examining several steps for budget savings following the escalation of conflict in the Middle East after the United States (US) and Israel attacked Iran. Several planned saving options will be pursued by the government, including the implementation of WFH for civil servants (ASN) to save on fuel consumption. The WFH policy for ASN and private sector workers for one day per week is said to have been approved by all ministers and is just awaiting directions from President Prabowo Subianto.
