Pramono attends World Cities Summit 2026 in Singapore

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo attended the World Cities Summit (WCS) 2026 series in Singapore from 14 to 16 June 2026. In this agenda, Pramono carried two mandates simultaneously: representing Jakarta as the capital city and fulfilling his role as Vice Chair of C40 Cities for the East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania region. According to an official statement on Monday, the series of visits to Singapore began with the C40 Mayoral Convening, which brought together city leaders from various countries. Since being appointed by C40 Cities as Vice Chair for the East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania region in April 2026, this forum was the first meeting Pramono attended in that capacity alongside world city leaders. For Jakarta, participation in the World Cities Summit 2026 was an opportunity to seek various solutions to urban challenges in order to create a more comfortable, environmentally friendly, and competitive city. The forum also served as a momentum for Jakarta to strengthen cooperation with various international partners and open up investment opportunities to drive regional economic growth. “Jakarta is open to green financing investment and public-private partnerships to support urban cooling efforts. However, these efforts also require support from the global financial system,” Pramono said at the event.
