Pramono Assures Stable Qurban Prices in Jakarta
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has assured that the prices of sacrificial animals in the capital remain stable as of today, Tuesday. “For qurban, up to today, we have not received any reports regarding increases. So, the prices are still in line with those that exist,” Pramono stated at City Hall in Jakarta on Tuesday. He mentioned that Dharma Jaya has been preparing sacrificial animals well in advance before Eid al-Adha. With this preparation, Pramono hopes that the prices of sacrificial animals in Jakarta will not experience any increases. “Hopefully, qurban in Jakarta (will not see price increases). If there is any rise, it will not exceed inflation. That is what we are doing,” Pramono said. Previously, the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Dharma Jaya officially set a target to provide 900 cattle for sacrificial animals to meet the needs of Jakarta residents in welcoming Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. Dharma Jaya’s President Director Raditya Endra Budiman revealed that all the sacrificial animals provided have undergone strict selection and health examination procedures. Meanwhile, Assistant for Economy and Finance of the Jakarta Provincial Secretariat Suharini Eliawati has assured the readiness of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in welcoming Eid al-Adha, focusing on the orderly, hygienic, and environmentally friendly management of qurban implementation. They have also prepared various strategic steps to ensure that the qurban implementation runs optimally throughout the capital’s areas.
