Pramono Approves Proposal to Develop Disability Park at Taman Puring

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has approved a proposal from the Mayor of South Jakarta, M. Anwar, to construct a disability park at Taman Puring, South Jakarta.

“I am providing my support and approval. We will utilise Taman Puring to serve as a park for people with disabilities in South Jakarta,” Pramono stated in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.

He requested that the formal application for the construction of the disability park be submitted before 1 June 2026. Furthermore, he instructed the Jakarta Development Assistant to allocate the necessary budget so that construction can commence promptly.

“I requested that the letter be prepared immediately so that we can quickly build this new facility, covering an area of approximately 3,000 square metres in South Jakarta,” Pramono added.

During the meeting, Mayor Anwar expressed his intention to establish the facility, stating, “Governor, if permitted, I would like to create a disability park so that South Jakarta has one; we shall build it at Taman Puring.”

Anwar also reported that urban renewal efforts in the area are already underway. He noted that local traders have voluntarily relocated, allowing the authorities to begin levelling the site starting this Tuesday.

“Alhamdulillah, the traders have moved voluntarily and dismantled their stalls themselves. Today, we begin levelling the ground. God willing, we will restore the function of the site to a park of approximately 3,000 square metres,” Anwar concluded.
