Pramono Appreciates Collaboration with Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office to Resolve Asset Disputes

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, which has successfully resolved various asset disputes and strategic projects that had been stalled for decades. “I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent coordination and cooperation with the prosecutor’s office. City problems that were previously untouched and unresolved have finally been settled, especially the Rasuna Said issue,” Pramono said at the North Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office in Tanjung Priok on Tuesday. Among the issues resolved were the arrangement of the abandoned monorail pillars on Rasuna Said, which had been neglected for 21 years, the legal certainty of the Sumber Waras Hospital land which was delayed for 14 years, and the continuation of the Jakarta LRT Velodrome–Manggarai route. Pramono added that the construction of the North Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office building is a form of appreciation from the Jakarta Provincial Government for the prosecutor’s support in overseeing various development programmes in the capital. Meanwhile, Attorney General ST. Burhanuddin thanked the Jakarta Provincial Government for the grant of the new building. “This new building refreshes the atmosphere, but the most important thing is the momentum for internal reform. Do not let the building be nice and grand, but the service becomes lacklustre. Make this facility a trigger to provide professional, consistent, transparent, and fair legal services for the people of North Jakarta,” Burhanuddin said. He also advised all ranks of the North Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office to maintain integrity and strengthen their faith amidst the complexities of life in Jakarta. In addition, he stressed the importance of regular building maintenance to ensure cleanliness and facility quality are preserved. In his report, the Head of the Jakarta Special Region High Prosecutor’s Office, Patris Yusrian Jaya, stated that the new office construction was necessary because the old building, which was over 50 years old, no longer met safety standards or organisational needs. According to Patris, the new building has an area of 8,907 square metres on land expanded through the acquisition of 1,025 square metres. Available facilities include a traffic ticket drive-thru service, a polyclinic, a child diversion room, a lactation room, a children’s playroom, a public library, a hall, a fitness room, as well as a music and podcast room.
