Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has emphasised that he will impose strict sanctions on the Jakarta Provincial Government apparatus proven to have fabricated follow-ups on citizens’ reports in the JAKI application. This fabrication case is seen as damaging the image of public services in the capital.

Pramono revealed that the AI-assisted fabrication that occurred in Kalisari, East Jakarta, is not the first incident. The same person committed the same case.

“The Kalisari case turns out not to be the first, and the perpetrator is the same person,” Pramono explained at Jakarta City Hall on Thursday (9/4).

Furthermore, the Governor added that with the recurrence of this case, the supervision by relevant officials has apparently not been optimal. This is exacerbated by the addition of new tasks to Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officers (PPSU) who should not have such authority.

“We have identified the involved PPSU officers, the lurah has been removed, and we will impose punishments on the relevant section heads who have been identified by the inspectorate,” he added.

Pramono expressed his concern if the fabrication of follow-ups on citizens’ reports in JAKI continues, as it could reduce public trust in the Jakarta Provincial Government.

“This is the face of Jakarta, the citizens’ trust in Jakarta. We will not tolerate it, and this must not happen again,” he stressed.

The PDIP politician also stated that next week, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will hold a town hall to discuss the handling of citizens’ reports through the JAKI application. In that meeting, Pramono will remind all his subordinates to take citizens’ reports seriously.

“I will give a stern warning, if anyone tries to do this again, we will not forgive and will immediately dismiss them,” he concluded.
