Pramono Anung Ranks Among Top Three Governors by Public Engagement, DIR Report Shows
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has been ranked among the top three regional leaders with the highest levels of public engagement during his first year in office. This finding is detailed in the annual report by Deep Intelligence Research (DIR), titled “First Year Report of Provincial Governments 2026”.
The AI-based media and digital research institute analysed media coverage and public conversations on social media from 20 February 2025. According to DIR’s research, Pramono recorded 959,157,202 engagements, reaching a total audience of 5,764,849,476.
These figures place him among the governors with the most media coverage and the most discussed figure on social media during that period.
The report notes that coverage of Pramono was dominated by positive sentiment, with strong exposure in the Jakarta, Banten, and Tangerang regions. The most highlighted issues included public transport, flood management, infrastructure, and citizen service programmes.
In the same category, the first position was taken by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, with a total of 4,256,465,957 engagements and an audience of 25,570,049,700. The third position was held by the Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, with 337,185,381 engagements and an audience of 1,693,330,015.
The Director of Communications at DIR, Neni Nur Hayati, stated that the first year of a regional leader’s tenure is a crucial phase in building public legitimacy. “We use a Media Intelligence methodology that combines media analysis and digital listening to see how public legitimacy is formed in this era of information openness,” she said, as quoted by Republika on Tuesday (24/2/2026).
