Pramono and Rano Karno Visit Megawati's Home on Teuku Umar for Eid Celebrations

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno visited the home of PDI-Perjuangan General Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri for halal bihalal on Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. Based on observations at the location, Rano arrived first at Mega’s residence on Teuku Umar Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta, around 09:36 WIB. The car carrying Rano was seen entering the front yard directly. A few minutes later, at exactly 09:40 WIB, Pramono arrived at Mega’s house. He was accompanied by his wife, Endang Nugrahani. However, the car carrying these invited guests entered the house directly. Through her official statement, Indonesia’s fifth President conveyed Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims in Indonesia. “On this joyous day, Ibu Megawati Soekarnoputri, and the entire PDI-Perjuangan family, extend Eid al-Fitr 1447 H greetings, seeking forgiveness in body and soul. May the victory on this fitri day bring happiness, peace, and new spirit to continue contributing to the nation and state,” said PDI-Perjuangan Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in his statement on Saturday (21/3/2026). To celebrate this holy day, Megawati did not hold an open house but received visits from her relatives. “As a tradition always upheld, Ibu Megawati celebrates Eid al-Fitr in a familial atmosphere, full of warmth and togetherness with the extended family and friends, featuring typical Nusantara Eid dishes,” said Hasto.
