Pramono: Ancol Parking Can Be Used for JIS Events Without Entry Ticket
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that he has instructed Jakpro and the management of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to coordinate parking arrangements. Pramono confirmed that an agreement has been reached to allow the Ancol area to be used for parking during events at JIS.
“I have asked Jakpro, the JIS management, and Ancol to cooperate whenever there are activities at JIS, whether it is a football match, a concert, or other events,” Pramono said in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (9/8/2026).
Regarding parking fees, they will be the same as those charged within the JIS area. Therefore, motorists wishing to park during a JIS event will not be charged the Ancol entrance fee. “It has now been agreed that for events at JIS, the parking fee will be the same as JIS parking. So, the entrance gate fee and so on will not be charged,” he explained.
Pramono had previously inaugurated a bridge connecting Ancol and JIS. He described the inauguration as a gift for Jakarta’s 499th anniversary. “On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Government, I would like to express my gratitude for the 499th anniversary gift, namely the activation of JIS and Ancol, including this KRL station and the connecting bridge we have named ‘Bersama BTN’,” Pramono said during the inauguration of the integrated infrastructure in the JIS-Ancol area at JIS Station, North Jakarta, on Monday (22/6).
Pramono stated that this integrated infrastructure development represents a collaboration between the central government and the Jakarta provincial government. He expressed hope that the inauguration of the bridge and the JIS KRL station would provide a solution to traffic congestion and parking issues in the JIS area.
Meanwhile, Ancol President Director Syahmudrian Lubis said that his team is still discussing the parking tariff scheme for JIS visitors. He explained that there will be a special zone designated solely for parking for JIS visitors. “Regarding the tariff, we are currently conducting a review for parts of Ancol where we might not charge an entrance fee for people. However, there will be a special zone where only parking fees are applied, and people will no longer be charged to enter that area. But for sections that access the rides, the existing system will still apply,” he clarified.
Furthermore, he explained that there will be two separate gates to differentiate between Ancol visitors and JIS visitors, although this is still under review. “Later there will be two gates: a paid gate for direct access to the rides, and another gate where people are not charged an entrance fee, only a parking fee. We are currently reviewing this, and hopefully, we can soon address the interests of Jakmania,” he added.
