Pramono Allocates Rp48.1 Billion, SDN 09 Kebayoran Lama Reconstruction to Begin September

Jakarta, VIVA – DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung personally inspected the condition of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, which collapsed nearly two years ago, on Friday afternoon, 24 July 2026.

Pramono said the SDN Kebayoran Lama 09 building would be rehabilitated in September 2026.

“This rehabilitation will begin by September at the latest. September at the latest, it must start immediately,” Pramono told journalists at SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09.

Pramono explained that construction could not be carried out in the near term, as it must first go through various administrative processes.

“So August will be for asset write-off preparations and appointing the implementing contractor, and by September construction must begin on this site,” he said.

Pramono said the reconstruction of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 would cost Rp48.1 billion, funded from a combination of Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) funds and the amended regional budget (APBD Perubahan).

“The budget is Rp48.1 billion. The funds are a combination of KLB and the amended APBD,” he stated.

As previously reported, SD Negeri Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi has come under the spotlight because its building is unfit for use following its collapse two years ago.

Despite being located in the capital, the school has appeared abandoned, with no teaching and learning activities taking place because the building has yet to be repaired by the regional government.

Based on observations, the collapsed building looks deeply concerning, with the roof frame having caved in onto the classrooms.

The surroundings near the collapsed structure appear dilapidated and poorly maintained, with fallen leaves scattered about as if no one has cleaned the area.

Although not the entire building collapsed, pupils have had to temporarily leave the school until repairs are carried out and students can once again learn comfortably.

One parent, Evi (33), recounted how the school building first collapsed, saying it had gone unrepaired for almost two years.

“It first happened during the regional election holiday (2024). Nobody knew about it, not even the school caretaker,” she said on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

Evi said only local residents were aware of the incident at the time. The classroom building suddenly collapsed without any rain or wind.
