Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung wants the processing of public documents, ranging from Driving Licences (SIM) and Vehicle Registration (STNK) to passports, to be printable directly at Public Service Malls (MPP). He hopes that citizens will no longer need to travel to multiple locations to complete service processes.

Pramono expressed this during an inspection of services at the Setiabudi MPP in South Jakarta on Friday (2/10/2026). He stated that the MPP serves as the spearhead for the Jakarta Provincial Government in providing services to the community.

“I hope, among other things, that we can immediately improve the process so that driving licence administration can be completed right here,” said Pramono.

Pramono noted that while the administration of driving licences at the MPP can currently be done quickly, the actual printing still takes place elsewhere. “Currently, regarding driving licences, the printing is done externally, resulting in a 3-4 day wait. However, the permit process itself, as far as I have enquired, actually takes only about 5-10 minutes to complete,” he said.

He hopes that the printing process for driving licences can be conducted directly at the MPP. He also expressed his desire for the printing of passports and vehicle registration to be handled on-site. “This includes the administration of STNK, driving licences, and so on. Therefore, I hope that for passports, hopefully, they can also be printed in this place,” he added.

According to Pramono, direct printing of documents at the MPP could significantly reduce waiting times for residents. He hopes that citizens can access services with ease.

“This serves as a manifestation that a truly integrated one-stop service is being provided,” he said.

Pramono also evaluated several services available at the MPP. He noted that there are still obstacles regarding permits that require resident approval, such as for restaurants or boarding houses (kos). “Why are there rejections? Perhaps because resident approval has not yet been obtained. That is the issue often encountered in the field, but overall, everything is actually running well,” he remarked.
