Jakarta (ANTARA) - Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo has admitted that there are still several reports within the JAKI application that have not been followed up. “Earlier, we happened to have a meeting about JAKI. So, in that meeting, there were indeed some reports that have been submitted repeatedly but not followed up, so we will perfect that,” Pramono stated at City Hall, Jakarta, on Tuesday. One of the reports that has not been followed up, he said, concerns the pedestrian crossing (zebra cross) in the Tebet area, South Jakarta. In fact, the report on the missing road marking facility received no response on the JAKI application for more than a year. In response to this, Pramono apologised for public criticism regarding the slow response to repairing the zebra cross. He also appreciated the creativity of residents who repainted the zebra cross in the area. However, he said that the creation of zebra crossings has its own rules that apply globally. “For the residents’ creative zebra cross, I express my thanks. However, zebra crosses do have their own rules, so what is happening now in the field, we will perfect it again, we will return it to the rules that have indeed been regulated,” Pramono explained.
