Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has admitted that officials, including those in the Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) environment, still possess high egos. Pramono assesses that this condition makes communication and inter-agency cooperation not yet running optimally. “Our main problem is often the egos among officials, including BUMD officials, which are too large, so communication does not run well,” Pramono said at the BUMD Leaders Forum 2026 in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, on Friday (17/4). He exemplified the lack of synergy between the Ancol area and the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), even though both are owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov). According to Pramono, for years, the two areas have stood independently, without good connectivity. To that end, he mentioned that currently, the DKI Provincial Government is starting to connect Ancol and JIS with a bridge spanning about 350 metres. “Soon we will inaugurate it. In June, the KRL will also stop underneath it, between Ancol and JIS,” Pramono revealed. He said the bridge construction is being carried out because the two areas often cause traffic jams, especially during large events at JIS. Pramono admitted to experiencing the situation firsthand. In fact, his vehicle was unable to exit for two hours while attending an event in the area. He assessed that if Ancol and JIS are synergised, the benefits can be felt by many parties, from BUMDs, the community, to the DKI Provincial Government. Therefore, Pramono emphasised the importance of changing the way of working and communication in the BUMD environment to be more open and interconnected.
