Passengers can board the Prameks in two ways: by booking a ticket through the Access by KAI app or by going directly to the Prameks gate. To book through the app, users should first install Access by KAI from the Play Store or App Store, register an account using an email address, then log in. On the dashboard, select the Lokal menu, choose Cari Tiket KA Lokal, enter the number of passengers, select the departure date, and enter the departure and destination stations, such as Yogyakarta Station or Kutoarjo Station. If quota is still available, several schedule options will appear with a Tersedia notification. Passengers then select and enter passenger details, follow the on-screen instructions, and complete payment according to the transaction amount. A payment receipt will be issued automatically and can be used to enter the Commuter Line departure gate at the station.
For those who prefer not to book in advance, passengers can go directly to the Prameks gate at Yogyakarta (Tugu) Station or Kutoarjo Station. Staff will be on duty to assist with any questions. To board using tap-in, passengers should prepare a KMT, bank e-money card, or the GoTransit Gojek barcode, then go to the Prameks gate at the departure station. Tap in by directing the KMT, bank e-money card, or barcode at one of the tap-in machines. If the Prameks train is already at the platform, passengers may board immediately and choose seats freely. If the train has not yet arrived, passengers should wait in the waiting area near the arrival platform. Upon reaching the destination station, passengers must remember to tap out by going to the Prameks gate and directing the KMT, bank e-money card, or barcode at one of the tap-out machines. Passengers may then exit the station.
Passengers boarding directly without a prior booking are advised to arrive early, as the Prameks applies a passenger quota at departure.
