Prameks Jogja-Kutoarjo Round-Trip Schedule for This Week, 17-23 August 2026
The Prambanan Ekspress (Prameks) train is an alternative mode of transport for residents of Jogja, Kutoarjo and surrounding areas. The Prameks operates departures from Tugu Station in Jogja to Kutoarjo Station and vice versa. According to Access by KAI, the Prameks Jogja-Kutoarjo route departs from Tugu Station in Jogja and passes through Patukan, Rewulu, Sentolo, Wates, Wojo and Jenar stations before terminating at Kutoarjo. The reverse journey from Kutoarjo Station passes through Jenar, Wojo, Wates, Sentolo, Rewulu and Patukan before ending at Tugu Station in Jogja.
The fare for the Prameks is Rp 8,000 per passenger for a single journey. Passengers can book Prameks tickets through the Access by KAI application or tap in and out at the Prameks gates using a Multi Trip Card (KMT), e-money, or by scanning a QR code from a payment application.

Passengers can board the Prameks in two ways: by booking a ticket through Access by KAI or by going directly to the Prameks gate. To book a ticket, open the Access by KAI application and follow these steps: install the app from the Play Store or App Store, register an account using an email address, select the Login menu and enter the email, choose the Lokal menu on the dashboard, enter the departure and destination stations, select the travel date, enter the number of passengers, select the Cari Tiket KA Lokal option, and the Commuter Line Prameks will appear automatically. If quota is still available, several schedule options will be shown with a Tersedia notification. Enter passenger details, follow the on-screen instructions, and complete payment according to the transaction amount. Passengers will automatically receive proof of payment that can be used to enter the departure gate at the station.
For those who wish to board without booking a ticket, go to the Prameks gate at Yogyakarta (Tugu) Station or Kutoarjo Station. Staff will be on duty to assist with any questions. To board using tap-in, prepare a KMT, bank e-money card, or barcode on GoTransit Gojek. Go to the Prameks gate at the departure station and tap in by directing the KMT, bank e-money card, or barcode scan to one of the tap-in machines. If the train is already on the platform, passengers may board and choose seats freely. If the train has not arrived, wait in the waiting area near the arrival platform. Upon reaching the destination station, remember to tap out at the Prameks gate by directing the KMT, bank e-money card, or barcode scan to one of the tap-out machines. Passengers may exit the station after successfully tapping out.
For direct arrivals without prior ticket booking, it is advisable to come early because the Prameks applies a passenger quota at departure.
