How to Use the Prameks Jogja-Kutoarjo Service
You can use the Prameks service in two ways: by booking tickets through the Access by KAI app or by going directly to the Prameks gates.
To book tickets via the Access by KAI app, follow these steps:
Complete the payment for the number of transactions booked.
Follow the instructions appearing on the screen.
Select and enter passenger details.
If quota is available, various schedule options will appear with an ‘Available’ notification.
The Commuter Line Prameks will automatically appear.
Select the ‘Search Local Train Ticket’ option.
Enter the number of passengers.
Select the departure date as needed.
Enter the departure and destination stations, such as Yogyakarta Station or Kutoarjo Station.
On the dashboard or main page, select the ‘Local’ menu.
Select ‘Login’ and enter your email.
Register an account using your email if you haven’t already.
Ensure the Access by KAI app is installed via the Play Store or App Store.
Passengers will automatically receive proof of payment, which can be used to enter the Commuter Line departure gates at the station.
For those who wish to use the Prameks service without pre-booking, you can go directly to the Prameks gates available at Yogyakarta (Tugu) Station or Kutoarjo Station. Staff will be on duty to assist with any enquiries.
To use the tap-in system, please follow these steps:
Prepare a KMT, bank electronic money card, or a barcode from the GoTransit Gojek app.
Approach the Prameks gate at the departure station.
Tap-in at the gate by directing your KMT, electronic money, or barcode to the machine.
Once the Prameks train arrives at the platform, you may enter and choose any available seat.
If the train has not yet arrived, please wait in the waiting area near the arrival platform.
Upon arrival at your destination station, remember to tap-out.
Proceed to the Prameks gate at the destination station.
Tap your KMT, electronic money, or barcode at the tap-out machine.
You may exit the station once the tap-out is successful.
Please note that for those arriving without a pre-booked ticket, it is advisable to arrive early, as Prameks enforces passenger quotas for each departure.
