How to Travel on the Jogja-Kutoarjo Prameks Route
There are two ways to use the Prameks service: by booking tickets through the Access by KAI application or by going directly to the Prameks gates.
To book tickets via the Access by KAI application, follow these steps:
Install the Access by KAI application via the Play Store or App Store.
Register an account using your email.
Access the ‘Local’ menu on the dashboard or home page.
Select the ‘Search Local Train Ticket’ option.
Enter the number of passengers and your desired departure date.
Enter the departure and destination stations, such as Yogyakarta Station or Kutoarjo Station.
Enter passenger details and follow the on-screen instructions.
Complete the payment for the number of transactions booked.
Once successful, you will automatically receive proof of payment, which can be used to enter the Commuter Line Prameks gates at the station.
For those who wish to use the Prameks service without prior booking, you can go directly to the Prameks gates available at Yogyakarta (Tugu) Station or Kutoarjo Station. Staff will be on duty to assist with any enquiries. To use the tap-in method, please follow these steps:
Prepare a KMT, a bank electronic money card, or a GoTransit (Gojek) barcode.
Approach the Prameks gate at the departure station.
Tap your KMT, electronic money card, or scan your barcode at the tap-in machine.
Once the train is available at the platform, you may enter and choose a seat freely. If the train has not yet arrived, please wait in the waiting area near the arrival platform.
Upon arrival at your destination station, do not forget to tap-out.
Proceed to the Prameks gate at the destination station.
Tap your KMT, electronic money card, or scan your barcode at the tap-out machine.
You may exit the station once the process is successful.
