Prameks Jogja–Kutoarjo Return Timetable for 19–25 October 2026
Planning to take the Prameks train between Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo this week? Here is the timetable for journeys in either direction from 19 to 25 October 2026.
Prameks, or Prambanan Ekspres, is an alternative mode of transport for people in Yogyakarta, Kutoarjo and surrounding areas. Trains run from Tugu Yogyakarta Station to Kutoarjo Station and vice versa.
According to Access by KAI, the route from Tugu Yogyakarta calls at Patukan, Rewulu, Sentolo, Wates, Wojo and Jenar before ending at Kutoarjo. In the opposite direction, trains call at Jenar, Wojo, Wates, Sentolo, Rewulu and Patukan before reaching Tugu Yogyakarta Station.
A Prameks ticket costs Rp8,000 per passenger for a single journey. Tickets can be booked through the Access by KAI app, or passengers can tap in and out at Prameks gates using a Multi Trip Card (KMT), electronic money card or a QR code from a payment app.
Passengers planning to travel between Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo should check the latest timetable to avoid missing their train. The following schedule for 19–25 October 2026 is from the official KAI Commuter website.
Prameks timetable: Yogyakarta–Kutoarjo
Departures: 06:40, 11:50, 15:15, 16:20 and 18:05 WIB.
Arrivals: 07:42, 12:49, 16:16, 17:20 and 19:03 WIB.
Prameks timetable: Kutoarjo–Yogyakarta
Departures: 05:10, 09:05, 13:19, 16:50 and 18:45 WIB.
Arrivals: 06:10, 10:05, 14:19, 17:52 and 19:45 WIB.
How to take the Prameks between Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo
Passengers can either book through Access by KAI or go directly to a Prameks gate at the station.
To book a ticket through the app:
Install Access by KAI from the Play Store or App Store.
Register an account using an email address, then sign in.
On the home page, select the Local menu.
Select Search for Local Train Tickets.
Enter the number of passengers and the travel date.
Enter the departure and destination stations, such as Yogyakarta or Kutoarjo.
Commuter Line Prameks will appear automatically. If seats are available, bookable departures will be marked “Available”.
Select a departure and enter the passengers’ personal details.
Follow the on-screen instructions and pay the amount due.
The payment confirmation can then be used to enter the Commuter Line departure gate at the station.
Passengers who do not book in advance can go to the Prameks gates at Yogyakarta (Tugu) or Kutoarjo stations. Staff are available to answer questions.
To travel using the tap-in and tap-out option:
Prepare a KMT, a bank-issued electronic money card or a barcode in Gojek’s GoTransit service.
Go to the Prameks gate at the departure station.
Tap in using the KMT or electronic money card, or scan the barcode at a tap-in machine.
If the train is at a platform, passengers can board and choose any available seat. If it has not arrived, wait in the waiting area near the platform.
At the destination, go to the Prameks gate and tap out or scan the barcode.
After tapping out successfully, passengers can leave the station.
Passengers arriving without a pre-booked ticket are advised to come early, as Prameks limits the number of passengers on each departure.
