JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - After being opened during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic period in 2026, the functional route of the Solo–Yogyakarta–YIA Kulonprogo Toll Road (Jogja–Solo) segment from Prambanan to Purwomartani, spanning 12.23 km, has now been officially closed.

PT Jasa Marga Jogja Solo (JMJ) recorded 143,797 vehicles traversing the functional route since it was opened in one direction from the Purwomartani Toll Gate towards Prambanan and the Trans-Java Toll Road from 16 March to 29 March 2026.

The Technical Director of PT Jasa Marga Jogja Solo (JMJ), Pristi Wahyono, stated that following coordination with stakeholders on 29 March 2026 at 22:00 WIB, the functional route has been officially closed.

“We express our gratitude to the stakeholders for the success of the Prambanan–Purwomartani segment functional route during this 2026 Eid period with zero accidents,” said Pristi in an official statement on Monday (30/3/2026).

The Director of Traffic for the Yogyakarta Special Region Police (Polda DIY), Arie Prasetya, added that the Prambanan–Purwomartani segment functional route greatly assisted in smoothing the 2026 Eid homecoming traffic flow.

“With this functional route, the public was greatly helped in cutting travel time. Through good and swift coordination, this route could serve the public optimally,” said Arie.

Meanwhile, traffic flow towards the Trans-Java Toll Road and exiting via the Prambanan Toll Gate has returned to normal using the available accesses.
