Prambanan Hospital to Provide Clarification to Police Over Toddler's Death After CT Scan

The case of a child with the initials NDMP (3), a resident of Piyungan, Bantul, who died after undergoing a CT scan at Prambanan Regional Hospital in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, is being investigated by the police. Prambanan Hospital’s legal counsel, Hifdzil Alim, stated that the police have sent a clarification invitation to his client.

“Yes, the Regional Police have sent an invitation for clarification and of course we will come, our client will come to provide clarification,” Hifdzil said when met by reporters at the DIY Regional Police headquarters in Sleman, Friday (12/6/2026).

He confirmed that his clients, namely the Director of Prambanan Hospital and the doctor who was reported to the police, will attend the police summons. Hifdzil said his client will explain in detail all questions from investigators.

“We are cooperative in providing information related to the timeline, the sequence of events, what happened to the child patient from admission until discharge from the hospital. We will still provide clarification and be cooperative with the Regional Police,” he stated.

When asked about the schedule for the summons, he declined to disclose further details. “That can be asked directly to the investigators later,” he mentioned.

Meanwhile, the hospital and the patient’s family are still maintaining communication. He stated that Prambanan Hospital is open to providing explanations to the patient’s family, as long as the request does not violate the provisions of the Health Law.
