Pram urges "Yellow Troops" to proactively monitor infrastructure conditions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has urged the “Yellow Troops” of the Road and Bridge Service to work more proactively in monitoring infrastructure conditions, without relying on residents’ reports. He also requested that the Road and Bridge Service staff, particularly the heads of sub-district services in the five administrative city areas, ensure roads are free from potholes through routine monitoring and swift responses. “Do not only work because of complaints or something that goes viral. Sensitivity and thoroughness in monitoring road conditions are the true embodiment of service,” said Pramono during an appreciation, networking, and halalbihalal event at the Office of the Unit for Investigation, Testing, and Measurement of the Road and Bridge Service, Jalan DI Panjaitan, East Jakarta, on Tuesday. On the other hand, Pramono appreciated the performance of the “Yellow Troops”. According to him, the dedication of officers who work in various conditions, rain or scorching heat, day or night, provides real contributions to the community. He also highlighted the swift response of the “Yellow Troops” in handling road damage due to high rainfall from the end of 2025 to early 2026. Quick handling, even if temporary, is considered important to reduce accident risks. “With around 1,500 personnel, the performance shown is very good. I give my appreciation and respect to all the Yellow Troops,” said Pramono. On that occasion, he also reminded the importance of professionalism and discipline in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), including in the use of equipment and materials, to ensure the safety of officers and the public. Closing his speech, Pramono invited all ranks to strengthen the spirit of Guarding Jakarta and realise a pothole-free Jakarta through solid synergy. “The Yellow Troops are the spearhead in maintaining the city’s infrastructure. I hope this performance continues to be maintained to support Jakarta’s transformation as a safe, comfortable, and friendly global city for all,” he stated.
